A successful, AV®Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated* trial attorney with experience in state and federal courts across the nation as well as cross-border disputes, Kristin has represented insurance carriers in subrogation and insurance defense matters involving products liability, structure fires, construction defects, crane accidents, transportation, fraud, embezzlement/white-collar crime, cyber security breaches, and catastrophic losses (wildfires). Prior to founding Jain Law & Associates, Kristin learned her trade in well-heeled, national and international firms representing businesses in civil litigation and bankruptcy (creditor and debtor/trustee) matters and in small firms representing individual plaintiffs asserting discrimination, fair lending and fraud claims. Ms. Jain wrote her first successful appellate brief (submitted to the United States Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit) before graduating from law school and, with client consent, participated as second chair in her first federal trial (and won) just one week after taking her first bar examination. The experience placed Ms. Jain on a firm path forward: working to protect her clients’ rights through the courts.

Kristin’s commercial litigation, insurance defense and subrogation matters span multiple industries, including retail, aviation, transportation, energy, wildfire, construction, white-collar crime, cyber security, real property, and heavy equipment, and includes business disputes and dissolution cases.

Ms. Jain’s bankruptcy practice centers on representing clients in commercial bankruptcy and restructuring matters in and out of court. Her clients include Fortune 500 companies, banking institutions, trusts, creditors’ committees, trustees, debtors-in-possession, and creditors. In her bankruptcy and restructuring cases, Ms. Jain’s practice involved substantial and varied commercial litigation, including the prosecution of directors’ and officers’ liability claims, contractual disputes, fraudulent conveyances, and preference actions.

A graduate of Northwestern University (B.S. 1994) and Tulane University (J.D. 1997), Kristin is licensed in Texas and Alabama and is a member of the American Bar Association (board member, Woman Advocate Committee of the Litigation section), Turnaround Management Association (board member, Dallas chapter), Law Firm Anti-racism Alliance (board member, Employment Committee), the Woman’s Educational Aid Association (board member), the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, and the National Association of Subrogation Professionals. Kristin is proud to serve as a board member for Me Squared Cancer Foundation and as mother to three young adults.
